Fins Ale House & Raw Bar
All but the Fins downtown Rehoboth Beach location offer lunch and dinner menus, and each sports an off-the rack ‘coastal décor’ which compliments its heavy raw bar and seafood influences. The Fins Group of restaurants offer something for everybody: soups and spreads, numerous fish varieties, burgers, salads, and all things in between. Family and large group friendly, each location is cheery, fun (especially with live sports on the many flat screens), airy, and bright, all with good service, though sometimes the no-reservation wait can be long. It is hard to miss on a raw bar as long as the shellfish are fresh and properly iced, and Fins does not disappoint, especially with such a large selection of oysters, enjoyed with its varied beer and ale selections. The lunch menu leans toward the bar pub side, but dinner menus broadly range in price and offerings, from group sharing alternatives to expensive, including the ‘build your own fish’ board where you choose between grilled, broiled, blackened, or stuffed, selecting your fish and sauce. Each Fins has a coastal and nautical theme weaved between booths and high tables, and offer plenty of happy hour specials, along with a vibrant bar and drinking scene, a place to go for banter and fun. With several restaurants in the operating group all sporting about the same menu, you know the fish and raw bar is fresh, and the cooking consistent, especially given the bulk ordering, seemingly fresh given the quantities served among its several locations. Every beach town in America has some version of Fins, a place where the seafood inspired menu is consistent, if not gourmet, with something for everyone in the family or group, all at a fair price. Fins is a consistent performer across its varied menu, a place where you can enjoy a good meal at a fair price, without the risk of impugning your restaurant selection reputation.
