An elderly member of the SoDel Concepts local empire, Fish On is a coastal beach classic which continues to grow older, but not necessarily wiser, and for good reason.  It has stood the long test of time and location, buried in the Five Points housing complex, seemingly left to its own local devices without need to change.  The menu is heavy on fish specials, all prepared with love from a kitchen which knows the prices it can charge, and the eating vices it can create by keeping the preparation simple, honest, and fresh, slowly lurching toward your beach culinary favorites.  When you first walk through the door, it feels like home somehow, and a sweet disposition of indoor and outdoor dining awaits your wide-eye gaze.  Many patrons turn immediately to the specials menu, tailored to the local catch, a staple at SoDel restaurants, for an always engaging list of fish prepared various ways, none of which get lost in the translation of being over-seasoned like many fish-focused restaurants in the area.  The thing about SoDel restaurants is that you know them all too well, so you expect quality at a fair price, with professional and friendly service, the sort of anti-hero to other seasonal fish restaurants so casually cruel to your wallet, but less than chilling to your pallet.  Fish On hits all the proper notes, and no matter the difficulty some find in locating it, you will not ask too much when expecting an honest meal.
