Geography
The Delmarva Peninsula encompasses parts of Delaware, Virginia, and Maryland (hence, the name) comprising the Atlantic Coastal Plain. It is approximately 180 miles long and 70 miles wide. No count has ever been made as to how many restaurants exist in Delmarva, and we will not be the first to publish a survey. Suffice to say, The Delmarva Foodie Elitist only covers dining as far south as Fenwick Island through as far north as Lewes, with a few Maryland locations around Ocean City included because they gained our attention. This website could more accurately be called ‘Delaware Beach Towns Foodie Elitist,’ but that many words didn’t fit into our preferred logo. So, Delmarva Foodie Elitist covers only the popular beach towns. Maybe, as we advance in age, our culinary curiosity will take us through other parts of Delmarva, and we will report. But, until then, we will focus on what we know, which is where we live. After all, people tend to covet what they see every day, and since we do not travel in Delmarva outside of the beach towns, we only review what we covet, good food and fun.
Happy dining!
