What started as a popular food truck morphed into a Rt. 1 restaurant with the coolest open-to-viewing tortilla-making machine this side of Mexico.  As you may surmise from the name, (soft shell only) tacos is the name of the game, and you have your choice of fill, shrimp, chicken, beef, pork, fish, cheese, and veggies.  You get the point, though burritos and bowls join hot dogs and nachos to complete a limited Tex-Mex menu, all of it fairly priced mostly because it is ‘street food’ sized, which is restaurant parlance for, smaller.  Brought to you by the La Vida Hospitality Group, which also owns Big Chill Beach Club and Crooked Hammock, Taco Reho carries itself as a rebel Mexican place with a cool vibe and cool, but rogue approach to tacos and burritos.  The kitchen delivers better than the usual grade of Mexican fast food, but the experience is sanitary and impersonal as there is no table service, and all ordering is via an app or QR code; great for the smartphone-slinging youth, but bad if you ever want something that was not included on your tray, say, extra sauce.  Still, while you await your QR Code-ordered meal, giving new meaning to drive-through inside and out, watch the mesmerizing tortilla machine and try to select one that may make its way to your next to-go order.  But remember, when you sit at the fast food-grade table to enjoy your tray of food, don’t expect table service or attention from anyone other than the 50+ aged visitor asking for help on how to order.
