Egg
Even before President Biden and his family started dining at Egg, its breakfast reputation in Delmarva was well-established. A farmhouse approach to breakfast and brunch dining, Egg seemingly makes everything from scratch, with a creative spin on classic breakfast and brunch sandwiches leaning towards . . . eggs, but also offers the usual diner breakfast fare, all of it made with care. Service at the indoor-outdoor restaurant further west from much of the Rehoboth Avenue bustle is brisk and friendly and, indeed, knowledgeable, at least when it comes to ingredients and choices. Egg is not inexpensive for a brunch place, and should not be confused with a diner, nor will you confuse its offerings with diner taste. Catching the Bidens dining at Egg depends upon what may be going on in the world on any given weekend, but what should be going on in your world is a visit to Egg for at least one vacation breakfast. But be prepared to wait, because Egg takes no reservations and on summer weekends, is as busy as it is good.
