Mariachi Restaurant
Offering for more than ten years authentic Mexican, Spanish, and Latin American cuisine, Mariachi is the only Rehoboth Beach restaurant fully dedicated to such fusion cooking. Standard Mexican options include fajitas, flan, tacos, quesadillas, and burritos. Latin favorites include Salvadoran pupusas and Cuban masitas de puerco, and Spanish favorites include paella and parillada. Different South American favorites round out a very Latin and Mexican-inspired menu, with knowledgeable and sophisticated servers at your call. This being Rehoboth Beach, fish and seafood dishes also are available Spanish style, with various seafood specials hard to resist. Located one block from the beach in a former home, the two-story restaurant offers cozy indoor and outdoor dining and plenty of authentic South American-inspired drinks, which match nicely with its authentic cooking. There is not a plethora of original Mexican or South American cooking in Delmarva, and Mariachi is a welcome respite from the various faux Tex-Mex restaurants claiming to cling to traditional family-style cuisine. It is not inexpensive, but good food is never tied to a diner’s limited budget. There are plenty of coastally-inspired options to round-out a menu that appeals to large groups, and when combined with the starry location and fun vibe, Mariachi should find a spot on your restaurant travel list, even if Latin cooking is not your beach favorite.
